Keeping up with winter prayer times

A moment of reflecting upon the way Allah has created the world and indeed our lives with so much change and alternation of states reveals to us His great wisdom in creation. He said, ‘In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are Signs for people with intelligence.’[1] Allah the Most High, out of His divine wisdom, created this life as a constant stream of changing states, altering conditions, and varying environments. One of the wisdoms is that it creates a drive in the heart of a Believer to worship Allah at certain times over others. This Ramadan, Don't Break your Fast with an Israeli Date

Ramadan is a time of year when we remember those who are less fortunate than ourselves. It would be unfortunate if at such a time we helped support oppression.

Every year, Israel exports millions of pounds worth of dates to the world, which many people unknowingly buy and use to break their fasts. These dates are grown in illegal settlements, in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley, on land that has been stolen from Palestinians. By buying these dates, we are in fact helping Israel to continue its occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people. It is estimated that the total income for Israel from dates is approximately €80 million.

They are alternatives to Israeli Dates, such as Zaytoun and Yaffa

Please check the label - Dates produced in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley are from Illegal Israeli Settlements and should also be boycotted
