Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT) is a UK registered international relief and development charity, providing relief and aid in over twenty countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Please support UWT by contacting Barclays and asking for a reason of account closure and inform them that you and your associates will be closing your accounts if the decision is not immediately reversed. Interpal under threat as Lloyds TSB demand IBB to close Interpal’s bank accounts

Islamic Bank of Britain's (IBB) clearing bank (Lloyds TSB) has served formal notice on IBB to cease all dealings with Interpal. This notice will come into affect on the 30 Jan 2009. Interpal is a non-political, non-profit making British charity that works with international funding partners and partners on the ground to provide relief and development aid to Palestinians in need, mainly in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and the refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, and hence this notice means that they will be unable to continue their work in illegally occupied palestine, causing even more suffering and hardship to thousands of palestinians who depends on aid and support
